depth of field

o.......... this picture makes me go all fuzzy...... zZzZzZzZzZ...
an example of depth of field. the centre (where the focus was) is sharp, while the rest of the frame is all blurred. this is achieved using a marco lens (short focal length) and manual focussing..
very similar to ur physics experiment in abt the pinhole camera.. larger aperture, more light goes in, more overlapping of images.. hence the blurring. if u have a smaller aperture (hole for light to go thru), u only get one image froming on ur 'film', resulting in one sharp image
